Your guide to creating memories with your baby
A Mommy and Me studio photoshoot is the perfect opportunity to capture the tender bond between you and your baby, preserving those moments you can’t get back. Here, we answer all your questions to help you prepare for your Mommy and Me Studio session.

How Old Should My Baby Be?
We often get asked about the best age for our Mommy & Me Sessions. Ideally, your baby should be at sitting or near sitting age. Short answer: Not too old but not too little either!
Here’s a quick guide:
· Babies who aren't crawling away too quickly are perfect.
· Ideally sitting on their own or with a little help.
· If they can stand briefly while holding onto something or your fingers is helpful but okay if they aren’t there yet.
· Still small enough to lift and hold and cuddle.

When Should I Schedule?
Timing is everything when it comes to capturing the perfect photos. Ideally, you should schedule your Mommy and Me photo shoot when your baby is in their happiest phase of the day. We suggest aiming for Mid-Mornings when they are well-rested and fed.
It’s also a good idea to plan ahead and book your session at least 2-4 weeks in advance to secure your preferred date and studio availability.
NOTE: We only book on Weekdays in the Studio in Fort Mill.

What Is the Cost?
The cost of a 45 minute Mommy and Me photoshoot is $450, this includes the studio session fee, editing, and a digital selection of 35 final images. Plan on arriving in first outfits and bring a second easy to change outfit for the baby to shine in a few shots alone at the end.
Infants of this age generally require shorter sessions. If you wish to arrange for a longer session or an additional day, please feel free to contact us.
What Should We Wear?
For a Mommy and Me shoot in this historic studio, simplicity is key.
Opt for soft, neutral tones like pastels, whites, creams, or light grays, which create a timeless look. Avoid bold patterns or logos, as they can distract from the vintage, historic style of the studio.
Consider coordinating outfits rather than matching completely. A flowy dress for mom paired with baby’s simple onesie or romper can work beautifully. Textures such as lace, knits, or soft cotton add visual interest without overpowering the image.

Final Thoughts: They Grow Up So Fast!
A Mommy and Me studio photoshoot is a wonderful way to preserve the love and connection that defines motherhood. Don’t wait to capture these fleeting moments!
